Maplewood Counseling launched in 2005 by Debra Feinberg, LCSW, with the goal of helping couples, individuals, and families with personal, relationship, and family challenges. This includes helping couples improve communication, parenting issues, family conflict and infidelity, and more. We also help individuals with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, parenting, relationships, and so much more.
For the past 18 years, we’ve provided mental health and relational support to people in our local community.

Job Information
Maplewood Counseling is actively looking to hire a licensed therapist or counselor with a desire to grow with us. We are wokring on expanding Maplewood Counseling to provide outpatient video counseling services and eventually in-person to icouples, individuals, and families in Essex County and across New Jersey.
As a therapist or counselor at Maplewood Counseling, you will be working with couples, individuals, and families dealing with relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, multicultural issues, LGBTQ+ couples and individuals, life transitions, anger, and more.
We are looking for a person who is compassionate, and connects well as part of a team. The ideal candidate(s) for this role will have experience with and is interested in working with couples and is open to learning more about attachment based therapeutic models ( i.e. EFT, Gottman Method, Mindfulness, CBT, Esther Perel. )
We offer online therapy and in-person therapy at our Maplewood office.
Education & Experience Required

Master’s degree in Social Work MSW, Marriage & Family Therapy MFT, Licensed Professional Counsleor LPC or related field

Must have active State of New Jersey pre-license or license as an LCSW, LSW, LAMFT, LMFT

Experience as a ( private practice helpful) therapist or counselor

Clinical experience with couples & individual therapy for adults, familiar with clinical implications of; relational & attachment issues, attachment based therapy, anxiety, depression, and attachment based theory.

Some training in couples therapy preferred.
