Paul Nwambu, LAMFT

Couples, Family & Individual Therapy · In-Person & Online across New Jersey · Christian & Faith-Based Counseling

Warm, integrative, culturally responsive therapy for couples, families, and individuals — working through relationship challenges, parenting, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.

How Paul Helps

Paul believes healing happens in relationship — with ourselves, with the people we love, and with the larger story of our lives. He works collaboratively to understand what is keeping you stuck and to build practical tools for connection, communication, and change. Whether you are working through conflict in your marriage, tension in your family, or your own anxiety and grief, Paul offers a steady, compassionate presence and a space where you feel truly heard.

Paul draws on evidence-based and integrative methods, tailored to each person and relationship. He blends structured, skills-based work with deeper exploration of the patterns and beliefs that shape how we relate. His years as a chaplain also allow him to hold space for questions of meaning, faith, and forgiveness when clients wish to bring them into the room. For clients who want it, Paul offers Christian and faith-based counseling that thoughtfully integrates Scripture, prayer, and spiritual values into the therapy process.
