Frequently asked questions

Does everyone have to come to every session?

No. Your clinician designs the configuration — whole family, parents only, or a mix — based on what the situation needs.

How soon can we start?

Usually within the week. Daytime appointments are genuinely available — rare for family work in NJ.

Do you take insurance?

We’re out-of-network by design. Superbills provided; most PPO plans reimburse a meaningful portion after deductible. HSA/FSA accepted.

What ages do you work with?

Family work typically involves school-age children through adult families. Call and we’ll confirm the right fit for your family’s ages and situation.

Can sessions be online?

Yes — telehealth family sessions work well, especially for busy schedules or adult families spread across NJ. In-person available in Maplewood.

What if one family member refuses?

Start anyway. Systems shift when any part of the pattern shifts — many families begin with whoever is willing.
